Nothing Apart From Christ

This print features a gorgeous vintage illustration, and the words that fit it so well were inspired by two different Scripture verses:

In John 15:5, Jesus says, “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing."

So first--it's a reminder to abide.

And in 1 Corinthians 2:2, Paul says, "I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified."

So I think this sums up so much of what it means to be a follower of Jesus--first, to abide in Him, daily, hourly, constantly. And second, that everything we say and do points back to the centrality of the cross of Christ. To Him be the glory! He's so worthy!
